  1. I've liked, despised, liked then despised Jig as a player. Filed under 'Ally' now as far as I'm concerned.
  2. Jordan seems like an idiot to be fair. Many idiots have made it as footballers I suppose.
  3. I agree. Is it though unrealistic IYO for our fans to be united as one voice, one entity, to have the best interests of the club at heart? Why do we need....is it 6(?) separate supporters groups all trying to do the same thing...they claim? That's our problem.
  4. Ha D'Art you've got even scary ol' me a wee bit emotional. 'Cause you're right and it's so simple and I just want it fixed and it can be, really easily. Other clubs do it, why can't we? We've had more than enough warnings. They rally round, we bicker. I truly despair. I read your posts and think that guy knows the way but see hundreds of others swamp it claiming my supporters union or whatever is better than yours etc. Why are we like this? Being rational I know our big support will cause more divisions than some but haven't we had the wake up call? We bicker over boards and petty juvenile things all the time, doing so in the name of the one thing we all profess to love, our club. It just doesn't seem like it to me. I love Rangers. I admire what you have to say and agree. Just you keep fighting, ok? All this other nonsense breaks my heart.
  5. We're still wounded, we've struggled. We've taken everything thrown at us and we're still here but we're up against it. Loanees make perfect sense....except... We're Rangers. We are still Rangers, no matter our situation. I want us to win this dreary league with our own players. Yes...it makes sense to loan and every Scottish club does it as our league is fucked. Heart over head? Blind romanticism? I dunno. In my opinion, let the others loan who they want...I'd rather we developed our own talent not someone elses.
  6. The shareholders knocked him back....he bid far less than their shares were worth. Simple really. It's gone, we have to get over it. Coulda, woulda, shoulda are the last words of a fool. Indeed.
  7. D'Art you write well as always and I wish all Gers fans were like you. Sadly they're not. I don't know you but we've crossed paths several times on forums. I admire your ethic the same as I admire the ethics of all good people who espouse goodness, honesty and are true to a noble cause. You're right of course but you've been right for a long time. Does it ever get you down this division amongst us? You constantly talk sense but is there no frustration within you that, whilst we are all Rangers fans, so many seem to have so much self-interest at heart that we seem incapable of being totally united and moving forward as one. It frustrates me. You've pretty much nailed your colours to the mast, I on the other hand, whilst agreeing with your sentiments find the fact we can't totally get behind some things as basic as you say, crazy...to say the least. I find I can take no side as unity is what I want. I'm sure your take on it it is to stand strong and continue fighting the good fight but sooner or later, we have to accept that the constant splintering of our support cannot continue. It simply cannot. Together we truly are a force to be reckoned with. Forget everything else....THIS is our biggest failing. So simple yet seemingly so hard to fix.
  8. Hardly. He's an above average Scottish footballer who failed in England and lit up the Scottish Championship against the likes of Cowdenbeath. Better than what we have? Probably. In the real world: He's nowhere near Charlie fucking Adam as a footballer.
  9. Boyd: "Whit's up Jig"? McCulloch: "There's summat written oan this baw". Boyd: "Whit's it say"? MCCulloch: "It says "Ye've been total shite this season ya bassa" Boyd: "Dinnae worry, could be for any o' us pal"
  10. D'Art always writes well. My take: Shattered and suffering from sleep deprivation, Ally McCoist once more enters Ibrox. His chairman is an Englishman he does not know, his club is suddenly in the third division of Scottish football. Last night he had to attend an SFA enquiry where the board sought to remove titles from Rangers, his club. His own chairman, the Englishman he barely knew, was willing to agree. Ally stood up and said "no, never". He was a man alone but they would never take those titles. Two days later he reflected, it’s at times like this he rued the decision to stay on when Murray, King, Greig, Smith and others had left or were leaving. He stood alone with Jardine and vowed to keep the spirit of Rangers alive. Leaving later that day, the driving rain and head on wind would normally be a curse, but with a body craving sleep, they act as a form of stimulus. Ally was a man with the weight of thousands of his shoulders as he departed that night and he wouldn't let them down. What he does not look forward to however, is telling the fans the football will be worse, the club will be downgraded and that exciting youth team you all believed in, did not, actually exist. Times would be hard for Rangers but the fans needed someone to give them hope, Ally stood forward. He may have had doubts in himself but those doubts never wavered in his desire to defend the club he loved. Rangers' successive promotions is the absolute priority for Ally. He had a tv career, he was an adored figure throughout most of the UK, he didn't need this but almost alone, he answered his club’s calling in its hour of need. None of us know Ally. None of us know what he went though. None of us know his real story - after all, he can't talk about it. Some of us have abused him with little more of 10% of the facts, he deserves much much better. He deserves fans of our club willing to cast judgement on him only when he can give his side of the story. He deserves people to listen with open minds as to what he has taken from the club compared to others. In short, he deserves the respect a legend such as he is due and to let his case be heard before castigated for ills we're not yet sure of. Is he part of the gravy train? Do you know for sure? Rangers is a club built on loyalty. In our darkest hour Ally McCoist showed loyalty. Why not wait till he can speak before decrying that loyalty? Is it too much to ask? Alistair McCoist, MBE. I will never forget what you did when all others attacked us and many of our own abandoned us. You refused the giving up of titles when the rest of the board were willing to give them up. You were a legend as a player, a noble but flawed individual as a manager and a stalwart for our club when required. I for one salute you Ally and won't forget what you did against the bile and hatred we took from all sides. I hope in time when you can explain your situation, as you will, other Rangers fans will feel the same,
  11. I'd like to hear Ally's side of the story before calling him any names.
