I'm not sure a loan benefits us. However, I wouldn't be opposed to moving him on so we can bring in another striker. Roofe played 36 games last season and the same the year before. What's that? 15-20 games missed. He did score 18 and 16 goals, though. That is significant, I think.

Of course, that goes without saying, but I'd rather we went for younger players. If we go for 29-year-olds, we don't get any sell-on value.

Now that I have actually looked, it's Ben Davies (of Liverpool) and not Ben Davies (of 'Spurs). Ben Davies, the former, is a 26-year-old English CB/LB. I like this more.

We could promote King to that LB slot - if they consider him a LB; he might be seen as a CB primarily. If it's the former, I still think we need a CB as cover. If it's the latter, we need a replacement LB.

I like Ben Davies a lot as a player, but, as I've said after Lawrence and Colak, he's not the type of profile I want, ideally.

Sands was good with the ball, but I felt he got caught out a few times at corners.

I'm looking forward to seeing more of Matondo; he looked quick and direct.

It was Katic's man, but he rushed out to cover the 'shot'. To be fair, he should not have been left with that decision. I thought King was a little awkward at RB.
