Ofoborh looks to be one for the future, although he may be able to do a job now (in terms of squad depth) if we're looking to do a deal now. There won't be too much pressure or expectation on him. For me, Simpson is the interesting one: he's 24, and by a few accounts he's played very well for Bournemouth this season (until being taken out the squad when the Cardiff bid came in). I believe he's a left-footed, ball-playing CB. He's more like someone who can come in now and play. It suggests Katic is still out for a while or surplus to requirements, and/or Edmundson is surplus to requirements.

What a goal from Aribo. Out wide, shifting the ball inside, beating the man, then curling it into the far corner. Beauty.

I really like Helander. I forgot how good he is at starting the counter-press from deep: when we lose the ball, he's right out covering the out-ball man, which is so important for us hemming them in and winning it back. He's also played a couple of nice long passes into feet.

Almost a tap-in, there. Wonderful cross from Tavernier, with two players waiting for the tap-in, but the defender somehow intercepts it and clears.

Good tempo again, winning the ball and breaking. Kent takes the shot from the lay-off, but it's saved. That was a better shot from Kent: it was directed instead of struck with power and no control.

Penalty. Good pressing from Morelos and Kent, before Morelos is taken down. Poor penalty, though, and the 'keeper saves it. Opportunity wasted.

Speculative, yes, but he often just doesn't connect properly. He tries to get the perfect hit, with power, and it often goes wayward. If he would take the power off it, and try to direct it a little more he'd get more success, for me. Remember, this is just the carries; where it stops is where the next action takes place. Nevertheless, I agree, he's quite far out, which makes it more difficult to get the assist. (I wonder where Hagi releases the ball?)

This one is interesting. It really shows how wasteful Kent is. 25 shots at goal, yet only 3 goals. And, only 2 assists from 16 chances created. (Both of these are from carries, which is running with the ball over 5 metres.) 41 of his 400 ball carries have ended in a Rangers shot, which is 13 more than anyone else in the league. They're impressive carry numbers, but he has to do something with them. Nevertheless, I do like the fact that he's trying.
