  1. Arfield and Davis come off, Polster and Murphy come on.
  2. Defoe spins his man, jinks to the right a few times, then slots it across the 'keeper into the far corner. Wonderful. Strength, technique, and the finish.
  3. Arfield seems to be playing on auto-pilot. He's doing things that ordinarily would be good, but the situation is not ripe for them.
  4. Polster and Murphy look to be about to join the action.
  5. Borna Barasic makes it 3-0, with a beautifully placed free-kick.
  6. Stewart has been so unlucky not to grab a couple of goals: he's been a fraction off connecting to a few crosses.
  7. What a goal that would have been! Outstanding, one-touch play.
  8. [HT} Rangers 2 - 0 Hamilton. Very comfortable. We've not had to break a sweat.
  9. I'm not sure why we've not been given a penalty. It's struck the lads arm, in an unnatural position, from the cross.
  10. I f*ckin' love Edmundson. So composed on the ball, passes well, reads the game well, strong in the air and you're not out-muscling him.
  11. Another sublime ball in from Barasic, but no one to tap it in. We really should be better at taking advantage of his crosses. Barasic himself can't do any more.
  12. Defoe has been clattered a few times off the ball.
  13. 2-0, Goldson. Goldson starts it, lays it wide for Tavernier then continues his run, and Tavernier picks him out with the cross to nod it home.
  14. You would think Edmundson has played every minute for us this season; so comfortable.
  15. Delightful lobbed ball from Ojo to the back post is side-footed onto the post by Defoe.
  16. Kamara, Barasic and Stewart have been very good today.
  17. I don't think Hamilton have left their 18 yard box.
  18. Tom's saying that Defoe hasn't touched alcohol in his life. Defoe's fitness really is sublime. He's 37!
  19. Was played through by Stewart. Beautiful ball.
  20. DEFOEEEEEE!!!! Wonderful through ball, and Defoe's chip goes in off the post.
  21. But their pegs and holes are made of shit.
  22. I would actually argue his transfers have been pretty good -- although you could question the outlay, and an inability to replace core players, which has only been an issue recently, IMO -- whereas it's his managerial appointments that have been less than adequate. I liked, and still do like, Claude Puel, but I think he suffered from comparisons to Koeman and Pochetinno, which were outstanding appointments. I could see the reasoning behind Hughes, but it didn't work out -- it maybe should have been a short-term appointment, to avoid relegation, which he did, and then get someone else in. I do think Hasenhuttl was a very good appointment, though. Your last point is spot on, IMO: I think having someone to implement the latest working methods and technology, building on from the basic structure that Allen implemented is absolutely key. I'm drooling at the thought of our very own 'black box'... !!
  23. Great to see Murphy included. On his day, he's a good option. Edmundson is a surprise inclusion, but he's looked decent in the little time he's had on the pitch, so I'm not worried. This game may suit Stewart too. I really do like how SG is rotating to suit the game.
