They have a few better players, such as Sinclair and Roberts. But they are not light years ahead. Nowhere near it. The main difference between Rangers and them is they are so high on confidence. Rodgers has instilled a sense of confidence that you cannot buy. There is a feel good factor to everything they're doing. It's going to take Pedro time to build that confidence and momentum given the lows we've had. But it's building, saying he has the best squad in Scotland is not about anything other than instilling belief in his squad. It's not for outside the dressing room. That's why he's vigorously defended that statement.

PL: Yes RD: Did you conduct due diligence on the viability of EBTs as a means or renumeration? PL: Yes RD: Did said due diligence conclude that EBTs were illegal or their use contravened the rules set down by the football authorities? PL: No RD: So in your opinion EBTs were not illegal and there use was within the rules? PL: Er.... yes!!! RD: So if they're not illegal and broke no rules, why are we here? PL: Cause we want their titles! They used an EBT and must have concluded it was legal and broke no rules. There is no difference on that aspect to their 1 or our 53!

They're deluded. McInnes would do well to take the Sunderland job if offered. He's taken them as far as he can and you're right, next season will see McInnes stock fall. We're buying international players from the top tier of the country they're in, not lower league English players who got nowhere near their potential or free transfers from relegated fodder! The case against Whyte is if he purchased Rangers fraudulently. It has nothing to do with the fact he put the Oldco into admin and it went into liquidation. The assets were sold by Duff & Phelps to recoup funds for creditors. There was nothing fraudulent about this process, the assets belong to the Newco and HMRC have no recourse to pursue them. The assets were sold as part of admin. The EBTs also fall on Oldco and HMRC are unlikely to win or an appeal would not have gone in. It's costly, so why would BDO bother. HMRC will continue to purse as there are bigger cases out there.

The problem with last night was we could have tried all day and night and not score. Once the penalty decision went against us, I knew it was going to be one of those games. That compiled with the fact very few actually chip in the a goal! Waghorn, Garner, Hyndman and Miller (who's not scored in a while) are the only real goal threats. Kranjcar (before the injury) and Windass have not been playing regularly. Hill has played the most and would go as far to say he is a regular along with garner. Was it 11 players signed in the summer and 2 play regularly? Take your point on Bates, I don't know much about the lad, however our defence is threadbare and has been the main area crying out to be strengthened since las season. Hill has been good, but he 38! Senderos went out of favour for getting sent off, not sure what's happened to Wilson, so we are left with Bates. If his signing is being questioned then should MW not be question for singing him? It takes me back to an original point that I cannot see what MW it trying to do and I question if he knows himself.

It is clear that the players he has brought in have ability, or show promise. Injury to Rossiter & Krancjar cannot be foreseen. There are managers getting more out of less in this league and MW inability to change or adapt will cost him his job. We need a manager who can get the best out of this under performing squad. When a player is bought you would think it is to improve the team. Ours signings just seem to be part of the background squad. i am at a loss to think what MW it actually trying to do, developing players is one thing, but if they are not put in the shop window then they will not be sold!

I've seen a lot of people, including me, question last summers signings and lack of signings in January. Did Dave King not give MW a transfer budget etc... However when you look at the team since Jan last year. I.e. MOH, is there any point in MW making signings? He does not play them in favour of his favourites. Has DK said why give you funds for players when they sit on the bench! I was reading David Bates interview, seems a good promising young defender. Unlikely to be any worse than what we've seen, I just worry he will never feature and end up away!

I would have taken McCall and still would. They players we have are much better than what he managed and he would get the best out of them. It's clear MW can't. McCall would cost money now so I am not sure we would get him all the same!
