    Just the Irish part ...

Not just the Irish part, the sheep part too. "Braga are pish" and to explain why they're recently beating Porto and Benfica here is the sheep explanation.

An absolute shite league. Worse than ours.

Sheep would obviously romp that league. Right? ?

The other mob are due a few bad results they are not as good as  their pals in the media keep spouting therefore we have to get our act together to step up to the challenge I won't surrender until it's mathematically impossible

I wont be giving it up till the math dictates either though there isn't a great deal of breathing space now. Win the game in hand the gap is 9 points beat them twice and the gap is 3. Of course that's dependent on us winning every game from here on in and looking for them to drop points which I feel they're due to.

Being realistic it's unlikely but then coming back against Braga was unlikely. I live in hope more than expectation but the hope isn't entirely unrealistic.

  3. I'm suspecting this boy may be at his third club in a little over a year by the start of next season. Incredible statistics everywhere he has played. He was at Red Bull for a season prior to moving to Dortmund and hit 17 goals in 16 games for RB.

Erling Braut Haaland scored his 12th goal in eight games as Borussia Dortmund beat Werder Bremen to remain in touch in the Bundesliga title race.

That's the kind of potential we need to be scouring the continent for among 16/17 year olds. Chances are he will soon be in the EPL. Top end. Liverpool/Man Utd etc.

I guess the Portuguese just don't win at Ibrox.

I'm hoping they just don't win against Rangers. A result comparable to the away game at Porto would be desirable. I think we will score over there because they play an open game and we have quality enough to capitalise  on that. Thing is they do too. They're a potent attacking force.

For three years we’ve been pretty much led to believe there are no natural number 10s out there we can sign of the required quality at the right price. We’ve signed one now for £3m less than we paid for Kent.

Might also be the case that such quality is only rarely available within our price range. Hagi is a steal at the price and I expect that in the long run we're going to effectively be having him for free. He will be moved on for a much higher fee in a few years.

A fee potentially high enough to cover not just the transfer fee payed for him but all the wages spent on him too. And still make a profit overall. If we could consistently do that with an entire squad or a fair part of it we would be in a very good place indeed.

Let's be honest until we got the equaliser we were rank rotten we got switched on with our first goal and never looked back

I thought it was over at 2-0 and saw no way back into it. In saying that I wouldn't have left with 30 minutes remaining. Braga were clearly in the ascendancy that first hour yet Rangers had still created multiple chances and should have had at least one goal.

As for Hagi he's clearly a game changer. Hoping the price for him was settled when the loan deal with option to buy was signed. Can only see him getting even better which could encourage Genk to squeeze us if the price hasn't already been agreed.

The two footed nature of his talent is astounding and will get him a lot of goals. How many times is a good chance lost as a player takes a touch or even two to get the ball on to a favoured foot? He can just go for it no matter how it falls to him.

Saw him score two penalties for Genk in a single game. Took each penalty with a different foot.

  7. Gerrard says he saw people leaving at 2-0. Geeze who would want to be that guy after what happened.

“We saw some people leaving at 2-0. I’m not sure if that was the scoreline or the weather but there was a bit of negativity behind the bench, but in European football magical nights happen. I’ve experienced them as a player and I hope I experience a lot more. Tonight was right up there.”

  8. It wont even have crossed the mind of the board to remove Gerrard nor mine for that matter. It's not a consideration on any level. Even if it were is it understood how much that would cost?

Gerrard is contracted till 31st May 2024 and is on a reported £2 million a year. Pay 8 million to terminate his contract then what? We were laughed at for hiring him but firing him at this stage would be an even bigger joke.

  9. I'm not so concerned about this one as I was about the last. There's a reason they're bottom of the league and that reason is they're crap. This time we will have Tav back returning the attacking balance to the side plus Alfie up front.

If Kilmarnock can go there and beat them which they did less than a week ago you can be confident we will too. The worries abut this game centre around not how good they are but how bad we have been against them recently. Even in that last game they were a degree fortunate.

    Their luck wont last.
