Hardly, as far as I can tell he has started 3 matches none of which were consecutive if memory serves and scored in one of them. The jury will be out on Garner till he gets a run of games which hasn't happened so far. If we had judged say Kranjcar after so little pitch time then Kranjcar is a failure.

Think the rules in England are pretty much identical though it's relatively new, introduced for the start of the 2014/15 season. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2635217/Footballers-playing-England-not-allowed-bet-ANY-matches-worldwide.html

There are a number of positives to be taken from it. First of all we have gone to an away ground and taken 3 points from a side who prior to this match were on a 5 game unbeaten run which included beating one top half side and drawing with the current top two. Another positive factor though mixed in with a problem factor is that they were comprehensively played off the park in a first half which if it weren't for our misfiring front line we could have been 3-0 up at the break and coasting. Yet another positive is that the defence will undoubtedly be more solid with Wilson back in it and I would say we still haven't been able to field the strongest possible starting 11. Now we must build on this and though we would all love to win next week I would trade a win for a string of straight league wins to put us right back in contention. After next week we have two consecutive home league games first against St Johnstone and then Kilmarnock. If we can take full points from that we're back on track but that's going to be a tough run of games. The game against St Johnstone comes just 3 days after the league cup semi with only two rest days in between then the Kilmarnock game is just 3 days after that with again just two rest days in between so we're looking at 3 games inside 7 days.

A win at a place no one else in the top 4 has managed to take 3 points from. All in all given the first half performance that totally overwhlemed them it's a step in the right direction though still should be scoring a lot more. The game could have been killed off by halftime.

I think we began to run out of steam when Karnjcar began to run out of steam.
-
It's a win at a ground no one in the top 4 has managed to win at. I will settle for that.

This is the time they have a reputation for grabbing an equaliser.

We don't seem to have a player capable of keeping the ball below bar height when shooting from much outside the box.

Might be time to pull him and throw in Garner or Dodoo.

Manager looking at his watch. Who will be coming on.

Dunno what Fornan thinks there is to go wild about. They got a foul and Waghorn got a card. What more does he want.
-
Sutton created an uncomfortable situation didn't he. There are ways to give an opinion that don't verge on abuse which he hasn't mastered.

Wondering if Garner should be thrown into the mix to noise them up a bit.
-
Their goalie is a competent man. Going to need to smother him with quality shots.
-
That's a perfect example of the class gap. Need to further impose that class on them now.

What a goal.

Don't think anyone would disagree with that. Can only hope Rangers exert so much pressure that he isn't tested too much.

RANGERS: Foderingham; Tavernier, Kiernan, Hill, Wallace; Halliday, Holt, Kranjcar; McKay, Miller, Waghorn. SUBS: Gilks, Hodson, Senderos, Forrester, Windass, Garner, Dodoo.

So who would you label the second best in Scotland? Aberdeen because they have 3 goals more? What if Rangers were to go out and hit 4 in this match to have one more than Aberdeen? Does that then make them better than they were yesterday?

Chelsea sign kit sponsorship contract with Nike worth £900m.

To me Chelsea are something of an artificial entity propped up by a billionaire who don't quite merit this deal. Man Utd on the other hand are a whole different animal who like Rangers would be a big name regardless of who sits in the boardroom. In that respect Chelsea would be no more high profile than say Everton if not for the sugar daddy factor. FUBAR -
They're only interested in who makes the best headlines not who plays the best. In that respect at this stage Joey Barton is their player of the year.

Celtic and Rangers could finally quit Scottish football...
JFK-1 replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
As things stand it's the only way forward for a team like Rangers stuck in a league like the SPL. I feel if it happened it could quickly become a big money earner as the teams involved began to strengthen from the new influx of cash. Doesn't anybody get the feeling that a closed shop champions league would become stale to viewers and that this would be an entertaining weekly alternative? Wont the viewing public want to see a competition involving teams from their own country rather than watching the relative handful of foreign outfits in the Champions league? It could also rope in teams from some of the CL countries also locked out of the champions league. And how sweet would it be if it ultimately eclipsed it? -
Jason Holt: "Inverness have been doing well recently and we're under no illusions - it is going to be difficult up there on Friday night. "We'll go up there with confidence and try to enforce our style of play from the start with a high intensity. From the first minute we will be on the front foot."

Another example of how some seem to understand this boy is way too small for under 20's which as has been pointed out can even include older guys like the 6 foot 5 inch giant Matt Crooks. They truly expect the opposition in competitive matches to take the same view of it when every game they play can make or break their chances of a future in the game? They're going to worry about injuring this boy? I think not. In fact the opposite may even be the case. Some may think if I show how ruthless i'm prepared to be that can only impress. http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/37644343
