  1. For the second and third league game I thought he looked jaded and needed a rest. I wanted hime dropped v Hearts but he had a great game and despite a couple of missed chances v Killie he did create our two goals.

If the only other option is Sebo then no thanks. Tries hard but for skant reward. Wheel him out in the CIS for match practice.

  2. Just for a bit of balance, if Hutton hadn't made a great sliding block we'd have lost that game 3-2! Also thought he was unlucky at the pen as it was ball to hand and his arms were right by his sides.

  3. Levadia Tallinn v NEWCASTLE

    Molde FK v RANGERS

DERRY CITY v Paris St Germain

    Sparta Prague v HEARTS

    FC Salzburg v BLACKBURN

    WEST HAM v Palermo

    Slavia Prague v TOTTENHAM

Hearts have a tough one, and Spurs wont be guarenteed a easy game.

Blackburn should come through as will West Ham (C'mon you Irons).

    Derry will get humped.

Newcastle and ourselves should cruise through.

Geordies getting tge lowest ranked team in it, Jammie Bassa's.

    Enjoyed reading this though:

  4. Only 1 Rangers player? I guess Burke would've been chosen if he wasn't chopped to fuck by Ricksen last night.

No way would I have Neilson or Pressley in my starting XI Gribz, they're vastly overrated. Also, what the fook is Graeme Murty doing in that squad?

Pressley is a crap footballer but a good leader. Disagree re Neilson even if he was terrorised by Martin and played a howler. One of the better Scottish rb's about and his long throws offer a very potent attacking weapon.

  5. Ten defenders?.... bit OTT. I was hoping Stevie Smith would get a shout since its only for the meet up and not actually playing any games.

Midfield is a little weak too IMO but the rest of the squad is looking good.

This is for the games now is it not? The meet up was last midweek (I think) when internationals were played by some countries.

  6. I hope they get pumped. The part of the seeding coming from your country is quite a small part is it not? Plus we're used to it being mince. Lesser of two eveils and all that, so hope they get nil points. A good run by us in the uefa cup should make up for it anyway. :D

  7. I notice a couple of seeded teams would have to drop out now for us to be certain of avoiding SPurs as they have fallena place in the seeding list. I guess that's due to Ajax dropping out of the CL.

Click the link at the start of the thread as the page has already been updated.

  8. Apparently Hearts went out because of a dodgy ref and an earring.

So it wasn't anything to do with being totally outclassed in the first leg at home then?

Last night was irrelevant, the tie was already over.

  9. Gaz, only 3 out of the starting 11 were playing at the weekend, out of the rest of them, only 3 have started a competative game all season which leaves 5 players playing that havent played competatively for us this season.

Then you have to consider, how many out of that team were bothering there arse, we struggle to keep Buffel interested for a full SPL game never mind a meaningless friendly, Adam played out of position as did Hemdani and Novo hasnt kicked his arse for well over a year now.

The one that did surprise me is Sionko, he really impressed me the first couple of games and i thought he might have been up for it last night to impress PLG.

Personally, im not to bothered about the result last night at the end of the day it was a chance for our fringe players to get a run out.

Only one guy starting in his correct position last night is a definite first choice, and that is Svensson. You could argue Buffel as well but he may find it difficult to get bakc in for the Killie game after how we played at hearts.

So all in all, although losing isn;t fun I don't think we need to worry too much about last night. We won't be winning the reserve league this year though!

Also for those who think Hemdani can fill in at CB, not on that performance. Worse than KS imo and at fault for a couple of the goals. Absolute shocker.

  10. I will take a look too Frankie if you don't mind, try and pick through things.

But reducing the debt to 5.9 mill is GREAT news !!

Look forward to people who know what they're talking about shedding some light on this. The reduction of the debt is quite astonishing though. Not too long ago was it not reported at approx. £85 mil.

Less Debt than Celtic now right? :D

  11. anyone else think chris burke and stevie smith look alike?

Can be an arse watching the Gers on tv somethimes because of that.WHen the camera pans out, but only when Burkey has switched wings really.

  12. yeah didnt flo score 2ish? thats decent, if you hide the fact he cost mega bucks

Averaged around a goal every other game. A very respectable strike rate. Not syaing he was a good signing or even necessarily a good player for us. But he banged the goals in and I could see JvoH doing the same.

  13. Agreed, i wouldnt mnind Spurs in the group stage.

I've been talking bout that for a while. WOuld love one of the Englishsides but only in the group. I think with the 3 from 5 qualifying from a group they can be a bit dull and a "battle of Britain" tie would liven it up.

WOuld be gutted to draw them in the first round though.

  14. Neither here, but i dont think a rangers player would have got away with a similar offense.

Also interesting to note that the papers rarely if ever pick up on the sories on the web surrounding the unsavoury stuff that people connected to Celtic get up to, but yet take a story from the web about Hartley.
