I've always liked a back 3 if you have guys who are willing and able to step out with the ball (Goldson springs to mind) as it usually pulls a midfielder out of position, giving you an option and space to build attacks. Otherwise it's shite.

I wouldn't hold the level he plays at against the guy, But it rarely works out a second time, even less so when the first time wasn't up to much.

The players always look like they love playing for Scotland, and I'm always proud to see them pull on the Jersey.
I'm not a huge fan of Clarke or the SFA, but the players ain't there to represent the SFA, same as our players aren't playing for Dave King, or anyone else on our board.

If Colak can keep his fitness could he do a job up front
Agreed Compo, I think he'll do us a turn next season.

Good post Rab.
I get as excited as anyone else at some new signings, but I'm genuinely looking forward to Beales pre-season influence, and the resultant football, even more than new players.
Bring it on.

Which will be as a result of the two achilles ops he had when with us, the reason we punted him.

Is that Alfredo being paraded at his new club? 😉

Not this again Compo, It's been this way for over 30 years man. Don't whatever you do look at who plays in any of the 'world series' in the states, it'll blow your mind.

He walks into the likes of the Hearts team tbh, but if he does feel indebted to Falkirk, that's a sign of loyalty and integrity, fair play to him.

At Burnley and Sheffield United, you'll get to play at Anfield, Old Trafford, Emirates, Etihad and Spurs' shiny new stadium, with a global TV audience.
At Rangers, you'll get to play at the Piggery, Fir Park, Toni Macaroni Arena and Easter Road, with a much smaller, parochial TV audience.
I'm sure Joe Aribo thought he'd get to play in those stadia too.

I do hope so, otherwise we'd be as well chucking it.

If money alone is your driver, yes, you're correct.
The shit part is my opinion, I care not whether you agree. 😁

Burnley, Sheffield United.... I don't care how much cash they have, going from us to any of them will feel like leaving the Ivy and rocking up at a McDonalds drive through.

I've only really seen interest from shit clubs, just wonder if reality bites....

None of them, they're all utterly cringeworthy, as are all 'cherished plates' 😆

Agreed Bluedell.
For Kent to be effective we have to have others causing the opposition to be stretched, like we did during the european runs in the last few years, giving the guy some space to work with. The last couple of months we've not had much up front at all for him to work with, I don't think anyone can disagree with that.
Just one last thought on Kent - Is it completely beyond the realms of possibility that he 'does a Goldson'?...

I'd like to see Tillman functioning in a stronger team, he did bloody well for us when we were playing shite, I'm sure he'd be a far better player in a good, solid midfield.

Seriously disappointed we're punting ScottyArf, he's a smashing player.
However, I see this as Beale moving on, bigger and better hopefully.

Phenomenal, that would bring a tear to a glass eye.

Posted around midnight last night, we'll give you the benefit of the doubt Compo, and assume the sherry had taken it's toll.

What’s the matter we don’t have money to waste McCrorie has done well in the few games he’s played he has now served his apprenticeship why waste a small fortune on Butlands wages when that money could be used in other positions
We need a back up goalkeeper too remember. In my opinion McLaughlin isn't good enough.
So, if you decide mccrorie is your number 1, then you're gonna buy a keeper to be his understudy, that's a hard sell to a good keeper, so we end up with a mclaughlin level keeper.
That's not what you want IMHO, you want a bloody good keeper to push young Robbie on and eventually take over.
And you want this same rivalry throughout the whole team.

If Butland is within our wage structure, it's a no brainer for us.
Robbie will have to bide his time, like McGregor had to.
