  2. As in the Profitable Group who tried to buy Newcastle?
  3. A big welcome to all new users!
  4. Just had it confirmed that Donald Muir is not involved.
  5. Not sure. IIRC, diligence after being made preferred bidder should be a reasonably quick process; 1-2 weeks? Much of the work will already have been done.
  6. I honestly don't know any names. I did ask but they want privacy until such a time their bid is successful.
  7. We didn't get as far as Ticketus mate but I assume they'll include them under CVA terms. Attempting to fill in some gaps today with a bit of luck.
  8. Thanks for your support guys. Few points from last night: 1. Seems too good to be true I agree. Answers given seemed too perfect at times but why shouldn't successful businessmen know how they intend to turn the club around and answer such (albeit obvious) questions well? As I keep saying, as with every bid, we don't know enough about who is involved and their business plan to really view their efforts objectively. We can only hope and that goes for this bid, the BKs or whoever. 2. Who are they? I see a few people have named a couple of wealthy people but I genuinely don't know names. Obviously I asked but my contact said they do not want to break cover unless their bid is successful. After all what business people would want to be associated with a failed bid? 3. Why did they get in touch? My contact knows me from certain circles and they feel talking directly to supporters is arguably better than going through journalists who will spin the situation differently depending on how the wind blows. To be clear though my contact has impeccable credentials, is a big Rangers man and would not buy into this bid if he wasn't impressed. 4. What happens now? As alluded to, the group feel they are playing catch-up and like other bidders are not convinced by the administrators. They also feel Craig Whyte will still have a huge say in who is afforded preferred bidder status. Moreover, even if they are granted this status, their period of diligence thereafter may change the situation further and, as with all bidders, they can't second guess the true financial picture at the club. However, hopefully we'll find out more going forward, and I've been promised more info if and when they're successful. Finally, again, I'd like to make clear I do not support his bid and am completely neutral about all bidders. Our fans simply don't know enough and we need more than soundbites - well-meaning ones or otherwise.
  9. Nobody gave me a hard time. Everyone is entitled to ask questions and everyone has been polite about it. It's all for the benefit of the club after all.
  10. His name has not been mentioned but I've asked again to make sure.
  11. Sorry guys - really struggling to keep up. Will address everything on here tomorrow so feel free to post anything here now and I'll get ti it then.
  12. No, Martin Bain will not be involved.
  13. Buyer interest is related to brand of club. They believe this is a bargain purchase to buy into one of the world's most iconic clubs.
  14. No, this only another bid. Murray has his own plans which may be similar.
  15. I don't know the answer to that.
  16. No, it's not him - I don't know the guy.
  17. Next: money is already in place to buy the club in full and meet demands of CVA. Purchase is a long term project - not quick turnaround.
  18. People behind bid acknowledge they are playing catch-up with other bidders but are extremely serious about buying the club.
  19. Right let's begin: The following info is related to the Singaporean/Far East bid for Rangers FC. Most importantly, despite what has been written today in the media, this bid will NOT involve Rangers being liquidated.
  20. Just before I start, it's also important to highlight that obviously I cannot vouch for the info - only that it came from an extremely trustworthy contact who is directly involved. I won't be naming this person.
  21. Guys, I'm going to try and post stuff on here and Twitter. Please feel free to ask questions & I'll try my best to answer them where possible. PS: Depending on feedback, I may be able to post some more info tomorrow. I'll certainly put any questions I can't answer to my contact.
  22. I don't have information on any names - other than the chap from Glasgow who has communicated the club's situation to the potential buyer.
  23. Yeah, info is on that bid.
  24. Before I start posting info, I'd also like to make it clear that this information isn't to detract from other bids or an attempt to discredit them. Again, I am completely neutral and only want our fans to have as much information as possible about what is happening.
  25. Haha - was excellent thanks mate. Still recovering though!
