Like I say there are obvious problems between a few people but that shouldn't stop the majority moving on past them.

It is a rumour based on reliable information - nothing more at this stage. I can only go on what has been provided to me over the last week and all information has been solid so far (and often before the media). Like I say, hopefully I'll have some meat to put on the bones later as like everyone else I'm eager to know more.

I don't think anyone should be judging who are Rangers fans and who are not (especially when said person's behaviour is less than dignified also) but again G_S is just one person so hopefully other FF members (and Trust board members for that matter) who do have more constructive relationships with other bears are a bit more forward-thinking. Again let's try and keep the thread constructive and in keeping with the sentiments Rab calls for.

There is no nonsense between these sites - the issues that do exist are exaggerated IMO and are only between a few individuals. Will that be enough to scupper any chance of better working relationships? Possibly but not for the genuine want of trying by people like Rab who are in no way involved with the pettiness we often read of.

Of course I care about what happened with respect to my involvement with the Trust but that was almost 3 years ago now. I wouldn't dream of holding any inter-site project back simply because I fell out with a few people.

If they were an external party then yes I'd imagine so. However, if it were an existing director then they may not require such disclosures.

The deal has been done for over a month. The problem has been proof of ongoing investment. As I said late last week that proof was supposed to have been provided.

Unless LBG would accept 16p, an empty crisp bag and a smelly sock, I'm not bidding...

Scottish tycoon Whyte has been locked in talks for some time over Murray's 75 per cent stake with partner Andrew Ellis due to become a 25 per cent partner. Whyte has brokered a deal that will see him buy their stadium Ibrox and the surrounding land along with the club's Murray Park training ground, if approved by the club's Board. The deal is expected to cost Whyte around �£28million but the overall cost of the club for the new owner is expected to be twice as much having given assurances he will invest �£5million in the squad in each of the next five seasons. Whyte's investment will clear their Term loan believed to be in the �£18million region, their main debt immediately with Lloyds Banking Group and the other smaller loans will be cleared over time. Whyte's offer will now be presented to Rangers' Board for approval and it is expected they will ratify it due to any long-term complications that could arise due to lack of investment. Should the club's Board give the green light to accept Whyte's deal then the SPL champions could be taken over officially this week, ending a long and uncertain period for the Light Blues.

Apparently deal is done for a total of around �£50million including the purported �£5million per annum player investment. As ever caution is to be expressed at this news and until we hear from Whyte but this looks like a new era bears!

That's fair enough but all the more reason for those of us not interested in the pettiness to move beyond that. I'm sure there are people on FF, RM, the RST etc who couldn't care less about past squabbles.

It's already on RM mate - not sure if Rab plans to publish it via Newsnow but that would be good exposure as well. I've also posted about it on Twitter/FB and RST reps will have read it here and elsewhere I'm sure. It's up to Rab or yourself to reach out and see what is possible. Like I said earlier, we'll be happy to help here.

I'd like to think the RST could put past problems aside for the better good this time and I'm sure everyone would welcome their participation. Same goes for FF as despite the criticism it receives it is still by far the biggest forum and has a large number of members who could contribute to any proposal. Like you say though, the bigger challenge is taking such a project offline and reaching people who don't use websites as well as those who are not usually interested in off-the-field stuff such as this. As a first aim, I'd suggest a sit-down meeting between interested parties would be extremely useful in finding out what is possible. I'm sure there are a variety of venues and dates which could suit all.

While it would be useful for the site 'owners' to be involved, there is nothing stopping 'ordinary' posters from grasping the baton on this if they feel that would be a more workable solution. During the STS thing almost 2 years ago we did have some good consultations with most of the websites and fan groups (FF and RST aside). It was a very positive exercise but ultimately didn't work overly well (or obtain results) due to apathy from the club and, because it suggested change for groups like the Assembly, they weren't keen to push the project either (although they did kindly organise a debate). Nonetheless the issues from that report (and others) are still prevalent now and there's no doubt they should be revisited again and again until they are addressed properly. I'd be delighted to see any support/site/group explore what can be done and the more people involved (site owners or not) the better. Especially if they're different names free from any perceived baggage that people will use as an excuse not to participate.

I'm sure all of the Gersnet membership would be eager to explore any opportunity to work together with any other supporters wanting to change the status quo!
