If we improve our youth set-up we might start to create a culture of belonging.
The requirements at Rangers mean the youth set-up will never bear much fruit nowadays.
We'll get lucky once in a while (Nathan Patterson) but usually we'll get shafted (Gilmour) because, either way, we can't compete with EPL clubs.

Is there not some sort of requirement for us to have a youth academy?

So, basically the same as we've been for the past 20 years or so?

All I care about is Rangers winning trophies.

We'll win nothing else. The players look like they are on the beach
Aye, kinda looks like it. I think the next few weeks are going to be quite painful to watch.
At least we're so used to it, that it won't be a shock.

It was a scandalous decision by Walsh. It was an accidental collision with no intent.
From the referee's angle, I can see why he thought it was a foul because it looked like Butland followed through with his right leg.
The referees have one angle and a split second to make a decision.
Football is far too soft, if you ask me. Folk greeting about songs and defenders falling over when a forward taps them on the shoulder. I'm starting to agree with my old PE teacher (rugby man), who often questioned the sexuality of football players and fans. 🤣

Watch Butland's right leg after he kicks the ball, on the second clip just posted (the referee's angle). That's why he got booked, as the ref thought he followed through with his right leg.

The follow through after a fair challenge can now be a foul/booking.
That's modern football for you.

An unimpressive performance, yet again.
The players just don't look bothered about winning the league and we were lucky their goalie fumbled the first and their defender slipped for the second.
I couldn't feel less tense about the run-in.

I find it inexplicable how often our players fail to hit the target.
Our shooting is really dire. A bit like our passing and pace of play.

A good coach should see that and play people "willing" to play, not the same dross week in week out.
Our bench is hardly brimming with inspirational winners.

We're playing as if the season is already finished.
This. We have no chance of winning the league unless there's a drastic change in attitude.
Genuinely sick of the sight of several in this team.

We don't look up for if at all. Really disappointing first half.
What's with the balls being flat? Same thing happened at Dens.

Roofe, Wright, and McCausland, somehow, then.
I wasn't suggesting the alternatives are any better, although I'd be starting with McCausland on the right.

Not a very inspiring front three, is it.

Hagi isn't the answer. He'll be off to Turkey fairly soon, I'd imagine.

A lot of high earners are leaving, so let's try to be positive.

A wee bit concerned about this Lundstram to Trabzonspor chat. A lot of Bears seem to want him dropped and I'm in two minds about it. He's been one of our best players this season but recent performances haven't been great.
Do we trust Raskin to step in?
I wish Yilmaz was fit, so we could play Sterling in midfield with Diamonde and Cantwell.
Here's hoping the players are up for it. One game at a time.

Things that managers and players say in pressers are not necessarily true.

Any word on how long for?

Won't be happening any time soon but it gets discussed (on forums) every few months anyway.

I wish people would stop referring to us the 'Light Blues.'
The original usage of 'light' was in relation to the way we played and not the colour of the shirt. It used to confuse me a bit too, until I found that out.

Cantwell for me - that's the best he's played this season.

I think we've already blown the league but winning the cup is very doable.
Not giving up, just being realistic.

Souttar with a few uncharacteristic sloppy moments.
Erm, he's almost guaranteed to have one cock up in every match he plays. Today was very normal for him.

When I said 'bear fruit' I was referring to our first team. We can make the academy work for us in other ways.
