Get a plastic pitch problem solved
No, just spend more money and hire more competent groundsmen/get better drainage.

Any idea what these supposed range of sanctions would be?
Not that I’m expecting anything of any importance to be applied.
I'd guess whatever punishment is decided upon, there'll be a suspension on it.

Maybe if they are new to Scotland. I've been here a while. Prepare for rain. Always.
I get that but I've been around since the late 70s and can't remember a period as wet as the last few months. Since Guy Fawkes night it feels like it has rained daily.

They've had problems with the playing surface at Dens for quite a while, with several other matches postponed in the recent past.
The head groundsman got fired late last year, which I think was drink related but I don't think they've done much to remedy the existing problems, presumably in hope that the weather might improve and also to cut costs.
Let's not get all paranoid about it.

no away fans at any parks
OMG, how can they create any atmosphere without away fans? What a disgrace. Football needs away fans. Etc. Etc.

The SPFL need to think about punishment or repercussions for this sort of thing. If we had beaten Benfica, there'd have been some real problems with available dates.

Tannadice can't facilitate VAR and logistics wise, it can't happen, so let's not waste time discussing a non-option.

Another pitch inspection at 15:30. Rain has started and getting heavy so don't thinks this is going to end well.
Either the fans get shafted (again) or we play on a very poor standard surface - both are negative outcomes.

Tannadice doesn't have VAR facilities.

I could see from the middle of the main stand that it was a penalty so you have to wonder how a ref standing yards away can miss it. 🤔
I think that VAR has given refs a get out clause - if even remotely unsure, they can just wait for VAR to correct them.
Happens everywhere too, not just in Scotland.

We're not going to have another Yilmaz v Barisic debate, are we.

Tav and Goldson must have some win percentage record against the yahoos. Tav must be on about 10%, at best!?
Too nice for derbies.

why the dawdling with the bigger clubs
Everton agreed to the punishment.
Man City are opposing their case, which obviously makes the whole thing take a lot longer, particularly as Mansour will have the best legal team money can buy.
As for Chelsea, I'm not aware of any breaches they've committed.

The fact that yahoos are even questioning the penalty we got demonstrates just how utterly paranoid they are.
It was a stonewall penalty.

Sterling can replace Tav.
Goldson looks to have lost something recently - looks nervous all the time and lacks presence. I'd be worried if he starts next season in the first XI.
Souttar is a decent defender but has far too many cock ups.

Lawrence fouled the yahoo. I was surprised Beaton let it go but I think it was the correct decision in the end.

Gave it to Matondo for the best moment of the match.

While I get the disappointment over todays score (and performance), I simply don't subscribe to the notion that 3 points are a given for Celtic in the next OF game. Granted our record there is shocking but we will be going there with a stronger team than today
What you say isn't unreasonable but I think a lot of us have had pessimism slammed home multiple times since the 90s, so it's hard not to be a bit down in the dumps about today's result.

The damage is the opportunity spurned to go two points ahead with a game in hand.
That's it when all is said and done. Today was a missed opportunity that I suspect we'll regret because our record at the Piggery is dire and the players proved even Clement can't fix the mentality issue when we play that lot.

unless someone can correct me on that.
I'm fairly certain O'Neill and Gerrard both went a full season without losing a derby match.

Kilmarnock have a better recent record against them.

1 point out of 9 against a poor Celtc side and people think drawing with them at Ibrox (with no away fans) is a good result?
I'm genuinely shocked by that.
Not good enough. Nowhere near it.

It's starting to feel impossible to keep away from that lot in any area of Scottish life these days.
They really have taken over and we are partly to blame.
