RANGERS International Football Club PLC is delighted to announce the appointment of Peterhouse Corporate Finance as ISDX corporate adviser. This is another significant step towards fully revitalising the Rangers brand. The next one will be announcing the Company's new firm of auditors. Peterhouse Corporate Finance is the largest ISDX Growth Market corporate adviser and also ranked number one independent small cap broker for AIM companies. Rangers’ chairman Dave King commented: “We have always said that these steps would be taken at the appropriate time and supporters can be assured that their Club and Company are progressing along the correct lines and as planned”. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/9737-corporate-advisor

I like the way we are thinking http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-new-boy-andy-halliday-6169358?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter HALLIDAY says Rangers must improve after being given the run-around by Hibs for the first 30 minutes in Saturday's cup clash - even though Gers ran out 6-2 winners. RANGERS midfielder Andy Halliday insists Saturday’s 6-2 thrashing of Hibs does not mean the Ibrox men are favourites for the Championship title. Mark Warburton’s side ran riot at Easter Road in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup and are back in action on Sunday in the League Cup against Peterhead. Despite the scoreline it was not all plain sailing for new manager Warburton as Hibs were leading until James Tavernier’s 39th-minute equaliser. The battle for the solitary automatic promotion place is expected to be a two-horse race between Rangers and Hibs but Halliday, who scored a dream debut goal at the weekend, has refused to read anything into the result. The former Livingston, Middlesbrough and Bradford ace said: “Does this lay down a marker? Not really because they were the better team for the first half hour. “If anything they laid a marker down to us in the first half hour for us to get the finger out and start dominating the game. Thankfully that’s what we did. “The first half hour was nowhere good enough for us, Hibs dominated and played really well. “We got a kick up the backside at half-time, we came out and did what we’ve shown in training and friendlies.”

The million dollar question !! -
THE middle eastern frontman acting for mystery Rangers shareholders Blue Pitch Holdings last night warned Dave King his investment group will not be forced out of Ibrox. Record Sport yesterday tracked down Lebanese lawyer Mazen Houssami – the man who helped fund Charles Green’s £5.5m takeover in 2012 – after the club revealed his infamous consortium had been blackballed by King’s regime for refusing to give up the identities of the men behind the money. Rangers insist Blue Pitch, who own a six per cent chunk of the club’s stock, is one of four groups of significant investors who are refusing to co-operate with their investigations into share ownership. Their shares were all but rendered worthless yesterday when the club stated, as a result of their refusal to come clean, the four groups now carry no voting rights, cannot sell up nor buy into future issues and will not receive any cash dividends. The Rangers board took action after repeated attempts to establish the true identities of the money men were ignored. But yesterday Houssami broke cover from his base in Beirut to reveal he has had no contact from the Ibrox hierarchy – and to insist Blue Pitch may attempt to buy an even bigger slice of the club in the future. He said: “I didn’t receive anything from Rangers so I don’t have a position on this. I will not have a position until they have contacted me. “But, yes, of course I want to stay involved and Blue Pitch will be keeping its shares. This is not the time for us to buy more shares. Things must settle down first before anyone puts more money in.” Twelve months ago, in his only previous interview, Houssami told Record Sport he was the sole power behind the shadowy Blue Pitch organisation. He said then: “I am a director, I am the sole owner, the sole holder of the shares. Blue Pitch is me. “To describe Blue Pitch as ‘mysterious shareholders’ is rubbish. I am Blue Pitch Holdings. I control it.” Yesterday he changed his tune by admitting he is, in fact, one of a number of different investors behind the Blue Pitch banner. He declined to reveal the identities of his co-investors but did say bogeymen Green and Rafat Rizvi – a convicted fraudster on Interpol’s most wanted list – are not among the group. He said: “Yes, there could be other people behind Blue Pitch but there is nobody related to Green. “We have always investors coming in but, no, there is no Green or anybody related to the previous owners or managers.” When pressed again if Rizvi is involved Houssami replied simply: “No.” Houssami claims to have been behind the decisions to sack Green as chief executive and also to bullet former commercial manager Imran Ahmad. And he insists he is pleased police are probing what went on in the Ibrox boardroom over the past three years. He said: “I can’t assume there was criminal behaviour but I wasn’t happy with things that took place. We invested in Sevco and then Sevco was changed. “There has been a lack of transparency so we are happy the investigation is taking place.” The four groups who have failed to give details of their shareholders are Blue Pitch, who own 4m shares, ATP Investments (2.6m), Norne Astalt (1.2m) and Putney Holdings (700,000). The Rangers board sought to confirm the identity of the shareholders shortly after taking control in March but have been thwarted in their attempts. A club spokesman said: “These four parties have not responded to initial requests for information or to the latest direction notices.”

RANGERS have frozen out a bunch of mystery investors after they refused to tell the club who owns their shares. Chairman Dave King has neutered 10.4 per cent of the club’s shareholding, owned by four parties as part of the umbrella group Beaufort Nominees. In total, Beaufort Nominees owned 21 per cent of the club and their proxies were controlled by Sandy Easdale, who controlled an additional five per cent of his own stock. Beaufort Nominees were the group who consistently voted with Charles Green and the previous board against the changes many Rangers fans wanted before King eventually swept to power in March. The four groups who have refused to give details of their shareholders are Blue Pitch Holdings, who own four million shares, ATP Investments (2.6 million shares), Norne Astalt (1.2 million) and Putney Holdings (700,000). The name of the mysterious Margarita Holdings is not listed on the current Rangers share issue, but it’s believed they hold the same number of shares, 2.6 million, as ATP Investments. It is a criminal offence in the UK to supply false information to companies on the names of individuals who own shares in them. Until the four groups listed provide information on who owns the Rangers shares, their stock is ultimately worthless. Their shareholdings now carry no voting rights, cannot be traded and shareholders will not receive any dividends that may fall due. The Rangers board sought to confirm the identity of the shareholders shortly after taking control four months ago, but have been thwarted in their attempts. The move was part of the transparency promised by King and although the four groups will not be allowed to participate in any future share offering, it was not the reason behind the clarification sought. Rangers have sent a notice to all shareholders, including the four parties, informing they have not responded to the requests for information on the ownership of their holdings and the sanctions now imposed. A Rangers spokesman said: “It was always the intention of the board to discover who really owns these shares. These four parties have not responded to initial requests for information or to the latest direction notices.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tell-who-you-are-ibrox-6158553#ICID=sharebar_twitter
