...the referee's added on time that was an extra minute and a half on the official extra time...

There was an injury to Jack that needed to be added but I don't know where they got the original four minutes.

    Easily the best team.

So many great performances but it was Barisic who provided the quality yet again.  Really glad that we persevered with him.

The only bad part of the day was Morelos at the end.  He should have gone for goal instead of looking for the penalty.

That's the third time lately that he has gone down when he could have retained possession.   He's been great for us but it's frustrating that his faults are mostly behavioral.

My recollection was we were exactly as boring, negative and anti-football as we see from the likes of Killie in our Euro run of 2008.

We know Smith was a limited manager but we weren't as bad as the likes of Killie, Hearts et al.  I don't remember us wasting time from the off for one thing.

Not sure what your point is.

Where would we have got to in Europe in 2008 by adopting a more attacking game?

I don't except that we were as negative as most of the Scottish teams we play and when it comes down to it their boring, time wasting, cart horse football rarely brings results.

I really hope we don't 'have a go' against the Keltic. I'm sick to death of seeing us play well and lose. Hope we get outplayed for 90 minutes then we nick it with Morelos scoring from a blatantly offisde position in the 93rd minute.

If we play as well as last time we will probably win.  You don't really think we didn't win because we played too much good football do you?

That was when we had some world class footballers though.  Things have changed.

You can't expect clubs with small budgets to try to play open, expansive football against clubs with much, much bigger budgets.

We'd be winning 7-0 most weeks and would be similarly humped in the CL (whenever we make it back there).

Yes there's only two ways to play; fearful negative anti-football or all out expansive attack.  ?

This Killie  team are a horrible bunch of bastards , they just kill football stone dead .

If you have so much fear in you, what is the point in turning up?  I'd rather my team had a go and  lose than get beaten with this kind of  scaredy-cat anti-football; not that Killie are alone in that.

I agree. The question is now about what he does for Sunday.

In his 15 minutes yesterday, I thought Davis looked hungry and was making a real effort to pitch his case to the manager.

Gonzo, yes we lost but I was commenting within the context of performance-

Can't really comment on yesterday as we had visitors and I only got glimpses of the game.  Great to see him available again even if I wouldn't have him as first choice at the moment.

You wonder if the Davis injury forced or persuaded SG&Co to go the way we did in the recent Final.

Regardless, we can all see the effect it had on that particular game.

I think SG would have picked Davis if available.

IMO those who are currently being selected have to start again and if they do the business individually and collectively against Kilmarnock, then same again for the 29th.

I note that Davis didn´t play in the League Cup Final and we played them off the park.

We have looked more fluent/vibrant in every game without him bar one.  I was saying before he got injured we should not be playing him and Kamara.

The real issue here is what athletes these days are having to put up with from the galleries and the crowds who think that paying for as ticket makes it just fine to hound folk. (Daily Record).

I agree that Morelos should not have been given a second yellow for that but I strongly disagree that things are worse 'these days' as far as abuse from the crowd goes, certainly not in football.

No.  Grandpa Joe might not have email or social media, wee Billy is only on Snapchat and big Dave lost his phone at the weekend, so only gets news via his morning paper.

We all consume information via different means these days.

The idea that it is harder to communicate with the fan base 'these days' because there are so many means to communicate is beyond laughable.

I calculated that so far the club has earned a guaranteed £5 million in prize money from the qualifying rounds and groups plus qualification for the last 32. Plus whatever the gate money from 7 home ties amounts to with another home tie still to come. Think we may be looking at around £12 million or so.

Five home games to come.  ?
