The hatred in the Scumnock-Talbot rivalry is WORSE than the Rangers-Celtic rivalry Hurlock. I remember being at a game and Kenny Paterson (played for Talbot) got hit over the head with the corner flag at full time. Also remember Ally Wilson (Talbot keeper) had almost a full set of pool balls thrown at him in one game. Another guy, Iain Dick, played for Scumnock and was a very popular player there as well as lived in the town - moved to Talbot and the Cumnock folks were forever putting his windows in.
