Maybe he "found his level" scoring a screaming of a goal in the Champions League against the German Champions? Well pleased for him. I notice Blackpool are seventh after a good run. but they wont finish there and I think Charlie could play at a bigger/better club and even in a better league. IMO the only way he gets to the EPL is if he gets promoted with a Championship team. Not trying to be down on Charlie - it is just that mobilityand pace are so important in the modern day game.
