Gers Announce Board Changes

Recommended Posts

Strange appointments if the club has been taken over...

Maybe Sir Murray is planning a comeback coup?:)

What, you didn't hear that Murray is selling to a consortium that includes his MIH man & partner in crime Gillespie? It's being finalized this week with a press conference live from Spearmint Rhino on Friday night.

So Murray has no control over Rangers at all since stepping down as both the chariman and a director of the club, but 2 of his staff are appointed to the board?

If you own the shares, you control the club, same in any company. Murray simply moved from sitting on one side of his arse to the other, a matter of comfort. But he never actually left the chair.

Got to admit that I'm not sure what to make of it. As Calscot suggests, it seems to imply that no takeover is imminent.

I've met McGill and he is obviously a trusted MIH man. Seems to be a straight swap for Wilson.

Does anyone know anything about Muir? Is he a full time MIH employee or just act as a consultant to them? It sounds like he could be a good addition to the board. It's just a shame the official site hasn't been updated to see a bit more of his history.
