andy steel 0
I'm all for chastising BBC Scotland. But in all honesty, how much does 'police are looking for someone wearing a three-years out of date, grubby Celtic top' narrow things down around here? They'd have to lift everyone east of the Cross.
craig 5,199
Maybe not strictly BBC but the media in Scotland always do that or make reference to a criminals leanings when he's a Rangers fan but ignore it if he's one of them. I dont think they do. I think you are changing your story to suit what you percive as an anti-Rangers agenda. And don't forget that when this story broke they DID have a picture of him with his Celtic top on. As Frankie says, his leanings are nothing to do with the story. I also dont think they always show Rangers fans in Gers tops. As andrew says, it reeks of paranoia. Maybe it is me but this is a "move on, nothing to see" issue.

Cotter 0
Don't buy in to the paranoia like THEM fellow Bears.WE are better than that Simply not the case anymore. There is a new paranoia thread on gersnet every time I log on. We have become THEM and rightly so because there has been a paradigm shift in the nature of reporting in Scotland. I genuinely believe if that guy had been wearing a Rangers top the photo would never have been changed. More likely enhanced. Fuck paranoia it's the simple truth. The knuckle dragging arseholes prevalent amongst our support continually feed the mhedia and so the legend grows: we are "Scotland's Shame". Until the club fearlessly and directly attack Celtic's support for continually glorifying the murders of innocent women and children then the situation will remain the same. andrew_2010 0
Until the club fearlessly and directly attack Celtic's support for continually glorifying the murders of innocent women and children then the situation will remain the same. As long as it comes from Rangers, it's just going to look like petty point scoring, and will lose credibility. If Rangers are to be involved, it must remain more subtle as we can't afford to alienate ourselves from joe bloggs on the street who does not follow football. If for example we are talking about the minutes silence disgrace, surely we cannot cast the first stone as a club? it should be falkirk that start it. We cannot get involved in an incident that has no direct relevance to Rangers. It was not a Rangers game, it was not a Rangers related silence. Perhaps a better approach would be to start a campaign involving fans from ALL teams in the SPL?
Cotter 0
It's not petty point scoring when UEFA get involved on the back of certain cretinous reporters' shit stirring. It's serious injustuce. It's good to hear TBB being sung again. I might not agree with its sentiments but it's a bloody good football song and if it offends certain people then they can stay at home. Should we get pulled up for it, I would be proud of our club pointing the finger of blame at several other clubs in the SPL, not just the scum, who get away with bigotry EVERY WEEK.
pete 2,521
For most people it is not bigotry it is just noising up your biggest rival.
