New Home Strip?

Any ideas to when the current deal is due to end ?

JJB deal was agreed in 2006 and runs for 10 years - so 6 more years.

Umbro deal was agreed the previous year (2005/2006) and run out last summer so was extended by a year. Some - including myself - think because they retain distribution rights abroad, it also forms part of the JJB deal so any new kit supplier is unlikely.

What distribution rights abroad? haha

Utterly hopeless from JJB and I was hoping that when the rumours were going about them going under was true.

Do you think it has to do with the fact JJB have to pay us a certain amount if the club sell a X amount of tops?

I don't even think it is a problem with Umbro if I'm being honest, think the root cause is just from JJB. In saying that though I was in LA and they were even selling scum tops in the Nike shops there!

Have the club not got a cop-out if they feel JJB aren't keeping up to their side of the deal?

I think most people agree from a financial perspective the JJB deal is agreeable but logistically it has been very poor.

Apparently there has been slight improvement after the club demanded it but unsure whether or not this will continue until 2015/16.

Yeah, this has been said several times - most recent at December's AGM - but as I don't use the shops or live abroad I can't comment on improvement.

Unfortunately money is king and as long as JJB keep paying us, I doubt the club will be pushing too hard as it would cost us a lot to get out of any contract and/or in the event JJB went bust, it would cost even more to start our commercial arm from scratch again.

Sorry for the delay boss!

Looks much better to me than the red logo. Even just the red T that you suggest with the rest in white looks not bad imo. At least when you consider the limitation that it must be an umbro style design.
