Said this on Real Radio earlier.

Ewen Cameron: Got a call from an agent friend telling me that Jason Roberts could be on his way to Rangers. I then called Roberts agent and he was stumbling all over the place when I asked him the question. Refused to deny or confirm it.

Roberts is a big powerful forward but his scoring record isn't the greatest and he's the wrong side of 30 for my liking.

He's not a bad player but when we're linked with pacy forwards rather than goalscorers, i immediately think Miller is offski

Is Roberts pacey? I thought he was a target man who had zero pace.

Just checked out his Wikipedia page:

Jason Andre Davis Roberts MBE (born 25 January 1978) is an English born Grenadian football player who plays as a striker for Blackburn Rovers in the English Premier League. He has been strongly linked with a move to Glasgow Rangers, these rumours were further increased when he was spotted in Homebase. According to sources he was definetly there.

He has 18 for acceleration and pace in Championship Manager 01/02 ;)

May not be quite so pacy 9 years later though....

You're not still playing 01/02 are you? :D

If CM 01/02 has him down as a speed demon, who am I to argue with them?

He's 32...too old.

We should be looking to guys with a sell on value, not stop gap signings

Look what happened when McLeish tried to use players in the twilight of their career....Emerson...Ostenstaad....

Capucho and Vanoli to name another cupla duds.
