Info on Singaporean bid for club

Recommended Posts

You do wonder whether any other remaining bidder will actually do a "Murray" and try to take Ticketus out of the CVA equation too.

My gut feeling about the Sg bid is they'll tear up the tickitus deal and say,"see you in court" They're lovely people by nature but are ruthless, even cruel when the need arise

Trust me on that one :D

Generally it's an interesting piece from a Singaporean perspective.

It appears information on Bill Ng is starting to trickle out though. Apparently, he has been in the stockbroking business for many years, and now owns his own private equity firm. There have been various unconfirmed reports of his net worth, with some estimating it to be in the billions. His family are certainly well off (see Forbes list of 2011).

As with all bids though, it's difficult to analyse them all that well until the finer detail is known.

It is "family wealth" not individual Frankie. Unfortunately my mate who lives in Singapore who's a successful businessman in Singapore is on a weekend bender in Pattaya!!!! But he did say that this family are well thought of in the Singapore community and have serious assets and cash

Bill Ng’s current involvement with Hougang United see’s him showing minimal interest, with the club currently having no sponsors and no long-term plans. The people in charge of selling Rangers FC need to ask themselves what could this Singapore consortium bring to the club when one of its members currently doesn’t show an interest in one of his own teams?

From what appears to be an ex-pat blogger living in Singapore. Much of his article is without substance, although the above does maybe show the need for caution.

The way i picked up Frankies initial post the other night was he would install "Rangers businessmen" based in the UK/Scotland in the boardroom and he'd let them run the show anyway? He'd be the main financier ?
