Btw, was it not Shepherd at Newcastle who tried to pass the buck onto Rangers when there was that whole Stevens Inquiry into corruption in football? In fact was it not that which prompted the tax man to target us?

Not sure about that, but his son was involved in the Quest investigation into the Boumsong transfer and was criticised by the Stevens Inquiry for ;inconsistencies'. The father was caught on one of those NOTW undercover stings slagging off the fans who spent fortunes on club merchandise.

Will it cause problems to know the identity of the mystery group if, as is being reported, the Green consortium has in won the bid for the rangers? Part of me feels it's not worth lingering on what could have been, and just support the club, but I am very intrigued!!
