History

IMHO, after getting their first grand victory, the Hooped Horrors looking to push it over the edge.

As far as I am concerned, our history is lost when we go the way of Third Lanark. That is the club cannot play games, has no players, assets are sold and it is thus removed from Scottish football.

On a sidenote, will the SFA actually dare not to hand out a new membership to Rangers?

The SFA will need to transfer our membership. How else will they hammer us for years to come without admitting we are the same club?

That's their catch 22..... :tu:

If the SPL transfer our SPL share to the newco and we play in the SPL next season, absolutely nobody can deny that we're essentially the same club with the same history. They basically need to deny the newco entry to the SPL before anyone can even have a whiff of a suggestion that there's any history lost.

History cant be wiped unless its erased from peoples memories.

Third Larnark are still down in the history books as winning the league but they dont play now, but we know they won the league.

The top flight has changed names a few times, in the 70s the first division was changed to the premier league then in 1998 the SPL was formed but in the history books the league winners were still the league winners.

If Newco wins the league and it goes down as 1st title then the way I look at the old Rangers would be - if it was a race to 50 titles then we won!

The club still exists unchanged. The company which runs the club will disappear and be replaced. The company formed in 1899 never won a trophy to lose. Don't be taken in by the propaganda! The company running celtic were not formed in 1888, but they still claim their history. I'm sure if you looked into all clubs in the UK to see when their companies were formed, you'd find that probably NONE of them have companies dating back to the formation of the club, yet still have their history because it BELONGS TO THE CLUB, NOT THE COMPANY. Actually, someone with the know-how should do that and publish it.

People mention Airdrie, but Airdrionians CLUB was dissolved and then they bought ANOTHER club and re-branded it. That is why they have no history prior to 2002.

The Rangers Football Club is still the same. The Rangers Football Club Plc is gone.

This history loss crap would not be an issue in any other country. Nor would it be an issue with any other club in this country apart from ours due to the years of propaganda and mis-information.

We are still the same club, with the same history and traditions. WE ARE THE PEOPLE!

Excuse me if this has already been answered elsewhere, but been out of country and catching up. If the old company is gone, were image rights, club badge etc also included in the 5.5m CG paid for the club? Just thinking of the Fiorentina case?

If so, where does the 5.5 go and if creditors (HMRC) is that the end of both tax cases?
