Ally - This is what I wanted

Recommended Posts

Found out how exactly? We finished a comfortable 2nd despite a 10pt deduction, despite playing half the season with a severe lack of options up front, despite having a bigger distraction of gargantuan proportions than chasing a last 16 spot in the champions league a la Eck.

As for being more at ease. We don't have a team ffs. We've had no pre-season. We have limited funds to bring in players if and when we're allowed to. What sort of players do you think we'll be able to attract to Div3?

As for the opposition, if certain SPL sides could have been accused in the past of raising their game against us what do you think the Div3 teams are going to be like? These are the teams that constantly cause cup upsets against SPL sides. Trouble is that most fans will be thinking that this is going to be a walk in the park. They're sadly deluded.

whos fault was it we had a lack of options up front? the managers. he chose to sign players for other positions and not use them. he got found out by managers of clubs with a fraction of the budget he had to work with, malmo, maribo, falkirk, kilmarnock, st johnstone, dundee utd etc etc etc etc etc the distraction did not come until after the damage was done, long after it in fact.

we do have a team, we dont have a squad, but we have enough to pick a team, they are in pre season training and have been for over a week now. no one knows what funds we will have so assumptions on how big or small it will be are just stupid. what players to division 3, that will depend how much we are willing to pay. it wont matter though, we wont be playing in division 3!

the standard is beyond pathetic down there, these guys cannot do the most simple of tasks with a ball. it is dreadful. even ally will get us successive promotions which will paper over the cracks. it will be a walk in the park, no problem whatsoever in fact.

It wasn't the managers choice to leave us short of options up front. We had several signing targets last summer to bolster our striking options but they all chose to go elsewhere. We lost Naismith to injury and Jelavic was sold in January with no funds available to replace him. Can't see how that can be blamed on the manager.

We lost a handful of games across all competitions that we should have won. Apparently, going by your logic, we've never had and never will have a manager who hasn't or won't be 'found out'.

If you're assumption about us not playing in Division3 turn out to be correct, then I might agree with the rest of that statement.

Paper over the cracks? Do you not think we might be just a little bit past that stage? We're facing a full scale rebuilding job here after all.

That kind of worries me too, people have totally forgotten how inept Ally is as a manager.

With him managing, who knows how long it will take?

exactly. too many people are scared to criticise because he has been such a good pr machine for the club

Ok,ever since you have joined this forum you have always been against Ally as a manager, everybody is entitled to their opinion,we all know your opinion on Ally as a manager, but why keep going on about it?,especially at this time?,give it a rest,we all need to pull together to try and get back to the top.

i dont rate him, i think he is a very poor football manager, is that allowed? why pull together and give 100% support to someone you dont believe in? what is the point in that?

Ally is the manager of Rangers, he's got a real opportunity here taking us forward, he's got a charmed life, everything he does seems to work out.

Could be, knowing him he'll come through smelling of roses...Wouldn't surprise me tbh.

He'll either fall flat on his face or continue on his merry lee road to stardom, that up until now has no end. Nice road to be on...Good luck Ally, thank f**k you are a bluenose.

like our european qualifiers last season? we fell flat on our faces several times last season and too many people were scared to speak up

i would like to think it wasnt his choice or we should all be terrified. the fact remains he signed more midfielders and defenders than we needed and left himself short upfront.

i have no interest in other managers, this is about ally

if rumours are to be believed we wont be mate

no, anyone would be able to take us through the leagues but when he gets back to the spl, he will be found out again and tactically outplayed by guys like houston, lomas, sheils, God even pressley outfoxed him and he is a first division rookie.

i have replied within your quotes mate, no idea how to seperate it like you did earlier :-)

To say that Pressley outfoxed Ally in that cup game is completely unfair. We'd have won that game if not for Alexander's howler.

Was that a complement?

Seriously though mate, like Ian said, everyone's entitled to their opinion and yours of McCoist has been made perfectly clear. You don't rate him. Fair enough. Doesn't mean that fans who disagree with you deserve to be insulted though.
