Is it yet another accidental slip up by the BBC? The BBC web site shows every league table in alphabetical order before a ball is kicked. All except Scottish Div 3 where it's in alphabetical order until you get to Stirling and Rangers. They put Stirling before Rangers, and guess where that leaves us - yes you've guessed it - bottom! Shower of complete immature wankers.

I think it's because they were originally calling us The Rangers FC.

They had us there as The Rangers but have obviously changed it to Rangers but haven't updated the table position, much ado about nothing.

I would suggest that the BBC invest is some of that new fangled computer software stuff e.g. Excel, and get it to sort automatically, but in saying that, those computer things will never catch on.
