Ally's Recruitment Drive

AFAIK we won't be able to register any players over 18 until Jan 2014

Maybe there's just been some misinterpretations of the situation or some of our regularly poor quality journalism in the Scottish media?

If the embargo starts on Sept' 1st 2012 and ends on Sept' 1st 2013, then we should indeed be able to sign and register a free agent any time after Sept 1st 2013, even the following day.

Yes I see but we would have to be willing to take them and would be hammered again.

What for? The reason it's a registration embargo is because they can't legally ban us from signing players. We wouldn't be doing anything wrong. It's their mess.

Technically, we wouldn't have to put up any fight. Just sign a player who's so desperate to play for us that he and his agent will take any and all required legal action.

So sign two lawyers who support Rangers and also play a bit of football? :D

The PFA seem to have been very quiet on the whole issue. I wonder why that is?

Their job is done now. Their aim was clearly to try and shaft our club out of a fortune in valuable playing assets by creating a mass exodus and they succeeded. They even fed our players with false information regarding the club's history etc, telling them it was a new club, not the same club after the CVA failed. The PFA (or certainly specific people from the PFA) have done our club a hell of a lot more harm than any of the individual players who chose to leave.
