It is....look.. our defense yesterday was Hegarty, Perry, Emilson and Wallace. When we drew 2-2 with them up there in August it was Broadfoot, Goian, Bocanegra and Wallace. You simply can't replace that experience in 6 months when you can't get replacements in.

Remember that defence was used to playing in the SPL, this defence is playing at a level below the best junior teams. The very level we used to tell the club to send the young lads off to for experience, suddenly its too much for them. Also Cribari is an experienced pro and Hegarty is an experienced U21 internationalists. But if you think we need to spend to get better in the bottom tier of football that's fair enough.

Broadfoot and Goian were horrendous in that game and others at the start of the season, pushing it a bit to say we miss then. Bocanegra perhaps.

We've still been sending young lads on loan there, to divisions above us at it happens.

Does make me laugh that we are god knows how many points in front but we send these lads to the league above us, when they could stay and get game time with their own team mates instead of strangers.

Personally I don't think it is as bad as everyone is making out. I think we have been playing some good football at times and some do seem to forget we do actually have opponents who are running their lungs out and not afraid to dish out the odd bad tackle. Our opponents will have the ball at times. 3 holding mid-fielders though is pretty poor tactics if I am totally honest.

I didnt see the whole game yesterday (due to being stuck in hospital all day with the wife who conveniently managed to break her wrist in two places on Saturday night...) but what I did see I saw an awful lof of long balls from back to front.... and not just from Alexander - Perry, Hegarty and Cribari all at it, the only defender looking to get it on the deck and run with it was Wallace, from what pieces I did see.
