Blow for Cowdenbeath as Rangers recall Kane Hemmings

Recommended Posts

Good news this.

Cowdenbeath have been dealt a big blow in their bid to secure their First Division survival after Rangers recalled Kane Hemmings.

The striker had been on loan at Central Park and had scored four goals in seven matches.

Hemmingsâ?? initial one-month loan, arranged at the start of the transfer window, was extended for a further four weeks but Rangers boss Ally McCoist now wants the 20-year old forward back at Ibrox.

Cowdenbeath manager Colin Cameron said: â??Kane has been great for us but his contract is up in the summer and Rangers are looking to give him games from now to the end of the season when he will hopefully earn a new deal with them.â?

We'll have to see how McCoist shuffles things. I for one wouldn't be surprised to see McCulloch back in (4-4-2) and Hemmings benched - for starters. You would hope that he drops either Black or Hutton (1 in 100 chance) and plays either Shiels or Crawford as the creative midfielder to whomever remains in central midfield.
