Wija 0 Posted December 5, 2006 Share Posted December 5, 2006 This was what brought around the new staiums we see today - Stuart McCall was with them as a lad I believe at the time (he may have moved on by this time though) It all started by a smoker in the stand dropping his/her fag and it caught the paper/rubbish etc that had gathered in the stand over the years... May 11 1985, Valley Parade, a fire breaks out from a cigarette in a plastic cup which fell underneath an area where rubbish had built up over years. Exit doors were locked and the building being made from wood lead to a rapid fire! Gazza_8 233 Posted December 5, 2006 Author Share Posted December 5, 2006 I was shown this video when I was doing my training and one of the training officers pointed out a person sitting in the stand committing suicide.
