Mehdi, signed by former manager Jim Jefferies, joined the club in the summer of 2011 from Kilmarnock, following a four-year spell at Rugby Park. The Moroccan made 68 appearances for Hearts, including a run out as a substitute in the 5-1 Scottish Cup Final triumph over Hibernian last summer. The decision regarding out membership of the SPL was due to the Newco being formed & the SPL share not being transferred, not because we were in administration. As it stands just now, Hearts are not in administration and its still not clear if their parent company are legally insolvent - they have requested to be listed as insolvent, don't know if its official yet. You then get the issue of whether Hearts FC are financially reliant on the parent company, or if the bank decides to call in its £15m debt. The 2 situations are VERY different.
