Jon Daly, Cammy Bell and Nicky Law - are you happy?

We definitely need defenders - probably the most important thing in football but if we have a cavalier attacking style in the bowels of Scottish football it wont be a problem where winning the title is concerned.

If we want the Scottish cup then it will be difficult to say the least.

Do we really need to win the cup?

Yes, stopping Celtic winning them is important too.

Please elaborate

+1 on being a GOT fan. Though the books are much better

Gunslinger told us why we went into administration. It was not exactly because overspending on players like Whittaker ... even though Whyte signed the lot of them up on bumper long-term deals. We went into admin because of the criminal actions of an individual, not by paying Whittaker et al their wages.

We went into financial melt down because in the Murray era we twice hit financial catastrophe due to spending money we didn't have. Do you remember when the bank ended up running the club? how pathetic was that?

The EBT affair with HMRC drove us into ruin and into the hands of a) Lloyds BG and b) Whyte. At the time, we were running on with a 18m debt that was managable and in the state of being reduced. At that time, we were still beating a Scum team running at a higher cost. What Whyte did, he did on purpose. As it stands, all things done with the EBT were legal and as such we spend money we had. Honestly, the mindset you show here reminds me of people I'd not associate with Rangers.

The debt was so manageable that the bank took over the running of the club. When we were nigh in £80m of debt in the first financial meltdown we were most certainly not spending money we had.

SDM underwrote nigh all of it, not all of it came from transfers and wages either. The financial meltdown and the banking crisis took the feet out under him and his steel empire. Lloyds BG was chasing his millions and debts and we were the best piece of his business. As I said, Rangers were still running well enough before HMRC came calling and made us an unsellable entity. Perhaps you see it differently, but nigh all British clubs of stature are run in a similar way as SDM ran us. The EPL teams would be nowhere near their current status' without Sky, and even now those who are successful are being run by billionaires coughing up millions the clubs can hardly afford on their own.
