Not interested in the Ramsden's Cup but clearly winning it would be useful. I'd rather use that competition for youngsters only.

Silverware in any form is required at the moment.

Also, The Ramsden cup is one that we have never won, and one that the majority of the SPL will never get the chance of winning. Be good if we could win it back to back as well.

The manager tells us that he has brought in new signings to create competition for places. I'd like to think that this would help. What I suspect is that the real problem is the perceived lack of competition from other teams. This won't change and if I'm right about that then we have another season of poor football to watch.

It's interesting to see a couple of comments about the cups. I'd really want to win the Ramsden's Cup. I'll be doing my best to get to these matches and if I've paid for a ticket I want to see the first choice team play. Although I'd like to do the same in the other cups I'd settle for making a decent effort. That is to say if we have to be knocked out I don't want the team to capitulate in the fashion that they did to Dundee United.

I'm still think we're not good enough defensively. I think we'll continue to look like a side who'll concede goals. I'd say Ally probably waiting to see what the situation is with Goian & Bocanegra but if they do go then signing a couple of central defenders in January is a must if we're to go all the way in the league cup & scottish cup.

The league is the priority and should be wrapped up in March.

Ramsdens Cup showings last season were poor and we should be looking to add this to our history to collect the clean sweep. This is a good season to go for it as next season in Div 1 we should be preparing more and concentrating on league and the other cups.

The Scottish and League cups are again a bonus for me. But we should be improving on performances against Dundee Utd and Inverness last season and at least competitive against SPL sides. Runs to the quarter or Semi's finals should be beyond our reach unless we meet Celtic early on. I think every bear would agree we arent strong enough to get past them. But I dont see us being much weaker than any other SPL team.

I do think the old sticky balls act will be in place for an OF cup tie this coming season. The SFA NEED this to keep Sky on side.
