If there is a further restructure, it will not be implemted immediately.

Says who? This is Doncaster and Co we are talking about. They were talking about changing it last season and tried to get away with it.

Currently there is no play off between the team that finishes 2nd in the championship and 2nd bottom in the premier.....but I can see that changing or an expansion to 14 teams.

TG is correct about that. Gribz, you've been away too long.

In SPL Chamipnship it's - 3rd v 4th, then winners play 2nd, then winners of that play 2nd last in the SPL; which is why St Mirren and Ross County are shitting themselves right now.

Of course it is skewed in favour of the SPL team (as their opponents will have played 4 games to get to that stage) unlike the other divisions where the team from the higher league is in the mix from the start.

JMHO.

The difference is that Rangers situation forced or at least was the catalyst for a financial restructure and the introduction of play-offs last season; Hearts being relegated doesn't have the same force.

I was right though! There isn't a play off between the 2nd placed Championship team and 2nd bottom in top flight :D
