If Barry Goes What Would Be His Transfer Fee

In the region of £3 million?

I think it would be that at the very most.

If whatever is being said over the next few days is that he is for sale then clubs will know what the reason is and that Rangers will be desperate to move him on and bring in new players before the window closes.

I'd hope to get closer to £5million. If Brown and Thomson are being quoted at 3 million, there is no way they are in the same bracket as barry

No way we'll get 5 million for him based on his performances this season I'm afraid. The only person who would pay over the odds would be Souness, but unfortunately he's not at Newcastle any more.

Clubs will know the situation but I would be pretty certain there would be plenty of suitors and that could spark a bidding war.

One may offset the other.

So far I have read that;

Everton

Newcastle

Watford

Birmingham

Portsmouth

are all interested. With EPL team getting £35 million each from next season they are not short of transfer funds.

This just smacks of bullshit to me.

PLG leaving conveniently at the same time as this all breaks loose - I can't help but feel (and yes this IS conjecture) that Barry Ferguson has played a large part in PLG leaving. Slate me if you like but it sends out all the wrong signals.

Looking forward to the 2 Jimmy's taking over...... :rolleyes:
