It’s understood that the Hoops are plotting a move for Gordon, who spent most of last season training with Rangers in a bid to reach full fitness. Gordon has been without a club since suffering two serious injuries during his time at Sunderland, but has finally shaken off the problems and is looking for a new club. Despite rumours that Ally McCoist was interested in offering the former Hearts No 1 a deal, Celtic look set to nip ahead of both Rangers and Motherwell to offer the 6ft 4 keeper a deal. He has spent months training with us, using our expensive facilities, all on our dime. Then he goes and signs for Celtic. It's just another example of us being very poorly run and you wouldn't see Celtic getting taken for mugs like that. I never wanted us taking any interest in him in the first place. But if we spent several months training him surely this was with a view to signing him. McCoist did say recently he wanted him though you can take that with a pinch of salt. I am convinced we would know, whether we did or or not or whether he knocked us back or not is not the issue anyway. Any deal to allow him our facilities and coaches/physios should have been with a binding agreement that we get him before anyone else if or when he becomes fit again. People can dress this up how they like but it is yet more proof of us being run like a pub team. He has took valuable time away from genuine Rangers players for his own selfish needs only to walk out on us and sign for our most bitter rivals.
