ROSS McCormack £11m move to Fulham

Recommended Posts

ROSS McCormack became the second-most expensive Scottish striker of all time yesterday, but was then accused of being disrespectful and aggressive to the owner of Leeds United.

McCormack, 27, moved in an incredible £11m deal between two clubs in the English Championship, joining Fulham on a four-year deal with an option of a fifth.

Steven Fletcher, who cost Sunderland £12m, is the only Scottish striker who has ever moved for more. McCormack could make his Fulham debut in a friendly at Motherwell on Saturday.

According to the Guardian " Everton paid Wigan £13m for the Glasgow-born Republic of Ireland international James McCarthy in September last year." but I suppose you may not count him as Scottish in a football sense?

Saw McCormack score the goal in Porto that took us to the CL last 16. As with many others, we let him go too soon.

Bravo Rangers. Just bravo.

To be fair he didn't offer massive promise for us and has only come good for Leeds in the last 12 months. Id say the price tag is on the high side.

He's had three superb seasons in the Championship and never got a chance here.

Have to agree to disagree there, I watch Championship games and 'superb' would be really extreme.

He's not an out and out striker and scored 29 last season, was voted in the team of the year and was top scorer. That is a superb return, particularly at a club that finished in 15th place.

In 11/12 he scored 19 and 08/09 23.
