Rangers shareholders are working on plans for a new £10million rights issue before th

Yes, if it's a rights issue.

But it seems to me that between £10m and £14m (implying a price between 25p and 35p) and isn't nearly enough for the next two seasons.

They may need a new open share issue as well.

Interesting that

when I believe King said he had one lined up?

Did King say he was now trying to get one willing to approve him or who said it? I missed the quote.

I'm planning to buy shares and I'd like to contribute to a rights issue since the money goes to the club but I know i'd have to be an existing shareholder first. How much in shares would I roughly need to get to end up with about £500 worth after a rights issue? Or is it really not possible to predict it as accurately as that?

The shares are currently suspended but assuming we get a new nomad and they are traded again then almost certainly it would be cheaper to buy some in the open market and then take up your rights at a likely lower price in the offer. The answer to your question depends on the prices and how the rights are offered, as BD pulled me up for recently it is not necessarily 1 for 1.

Perhaps if you bought around 1000 say for £350 if the price is as last traded and it was a 1 for 2 offer then you might get another 500 for say £125-£150.

But at £500 total the differences are marginal.

Cheers for the advice
