Former Rangers suitor Robert Sarver pours cash into Levante transfer kitty

Recommended Posts

Why would a Sarver,or anyone for that matter, give £30m to a small club like Levante? Is there any truth in this?

A small club which plays in a league dominated by three or four big clubs it will never displace and whose main aim every season is to avoid relegation.

Call me a cynic but are our mhedia up to their tricks again? Are they trying to portray Rangers in a bad way because Sarver was linked to us earlier this year and look - we've just missed out on £30m ....

I think we will be fine with DK. The media is failing miserably to make gers fans jealous by the looks of it. Who cares if he pumps money in to the club he owns.

I've no doubt there will be more stories like this before the start of the season with "Rangers could have..." In the title.

Sarver had no real intention to put his money into Rangers. He knew that his plans would be knocked back and never took the steps required to force the issue. Your opinion of Levante is comical. They play in the second biggest league in world football, but a wiser investment for Sarver's money would be to put it into a club currently in the second division of a footballing backwater. :D

So what would he get in return for his £30m in Levante? They are a small fish in a big pool and they are not going to get any bigger are they? The endgame for Levante is relegation from La Liga unless Sarver is going to put that sort of money in on a regular basis

It would have been easier to get Rangers into the CL as Levante.

The shareholders knocked him back....he bid far less than their shares were worth.

Simple really. It's gone, we have to get over it.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda are the last words of a fool. Indeed.

Totally agree not worth anything to us now and he has put in less than King says he will put in to Rangers.

It's a punt. Success in La Liga would bring far greater rewards to him.

King has put forward quite a few different figures and is nowhere close to any of them at this point.
