Backroom Staff Changes: Gordon Durie and Head of Sports Science, Jim Henry, have left

Recommended Posts

Hopefully the days of jobs for the boys has finally stopped.

I'll take that back if Jig appears.

Did Weir take Adam Owen to SU ?

He's in Switzerland with Servette. You're not suggesting a job for an old boy, are you? :P

Durie didn't have his coaching badges, so was pretty much always going to be leaving, despite him trying his hardest to cling on and also an attempt to throw another coach under the bus to steal his job instead. No loss.

WTF was going on if Durie was coaching and managing the U20/development team without having his coaching badges? :wtf:

Which coach did he try to throw under the bus ?

See, that is all that is wrong with Scottish football. How the hell can Durie not have his badges yet was allowed to be the manager of a senior team in Scotland ?

Worse, he was allowed to manage Clyde was he not ?

Even in Bermuda we have a requirement that you must have some certification to be allowed to coach, even with youths !!

He was John Robertson's assistant at East Fife for about 18 months, then took over as caretaker manager when Robertson left and was given the job full time, but resigned shortly afterwards due to illness.

Without badges he should never have been allowed the full time position.

Absolutely, but I'm more concerned as to why he's been coaching at Murray Park if he doesn't have all of his coaching badges and then on top of that why he hasn't done the coaching badges since being employed by us.
