Supporters Consultation Group Minutes

Recommended Posts

RANGERS director John Gilligan and Managing Director Stewart Robertson recently met with representatives from several supporters groups.

Essentially, club are looking to create a new, single body with the initial approval of the existing groups. Hope it can work but not sure it will!

Perhaps plgsarmy or FS can clarify?

Does this mean this existing organisations would be expected to fold into one new group affiliated with club?

Looks like it is to be nothing more than yet another layer for those who enjoy being on a committee, with existing organisations being free to carry on with their divisive ways.

They will never talk for rangers fans only the point of view of a few.

Wish the club would do away with all these groups and just put in place the ability for fans to communicate and invest through the club. No need or major want for these groups or committees to exist.

I imagine the RST,RF and the Association will continue in their present form too and that the RFB and the Assembly are basically toast.

That's purely a personal interpretation though.

So, in effect, nothing is likely to really change....?

Aye, the Assembly gets a new name.

The new board promised transparency, and the reason for this charade is certainly transparent. The RFB revisited.

Not sure but you're probably correct.

I suppose you could argue that what's proposed is basically a souped up version of the RFB.

The fact that there was no RSC representation on the RFB was a glaring failure and similarly with regards to the RST and RF especially given their clear mandates from the supporters.
