...but surprisingly there's no place for Celtic hero Henrik Larsson.

THE European body have set up a special website for an all-time Euros XI, giving fans the chance to pick their favourite side.

BRIAN LAUDRUP excited and wowed Rangers fans in his four-year spell at Ibrox - and Denmark fans will testify to just how good the former winger was with the ball at his feet.

UEFA agree and have included Laudrup in a list of 50 of the best players they think have graced the European Championships in the decades gone by.

However, surprisingly there is no place for former Celtic, Barcelona and Sweden superstar Henrik Larsson in the list.

The European governing body have set up a special website for an all-time Euros XI, giving fans the chance to pick their favourite side from their top 50.

The likes of Gianluigi Buffon, Franz Beckenbauer, Andres Iniesta and Cristiano Ronaldo all feature in the half-ton collection of Europe's finest international players.

Laudrup famously lifted the trophy at Euro 1992 with his country Denmark in what was a massive shock. Despite not scoring any goals, he was widely lauded as the Danes' best attacking threat in a fairly defensive-looking side - with much of the speed and skill shown in the tournament being repeated in his Gers career.

Larsson didn't taste the ultimate success for Sweden but made a big impact at Euro 2004, playing up front alongside Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He scored three goals - one against Bulgaria being voted best goal of the tournament - as the Swedes made it to the quarter-final stage of the competition in Portugal.

Both Laudrup and Larsson, of course, are seen as the two best foreign imports to have ever played in the Scottish game for Rangers and Celtic respectively.

Why is it a surprise that Laudrup would be in this list and the diving, cheating, leg-breaking Swede isn't?

One is top top quality and the other is a good player. There is night and day between them and only bigoted tims think they were of a similar quality. One played a huge part in his country, as huge outsiders, winning the tournament. The other was second striker in a good Sweden team that failed to deliver. As far as the poll goes, it is an absolute no-brainer that one is included and the other is not. He wouldnt make the top 100 either if it was about performances in the Euros.
