Apology obtained from Scottish Daily Express

Recommended Posts

Well done Frankie, Newspapers also have to have a straight line. They can't handle us with a hard hand for things we do and say, but if they do the same it falls under satire. No, they have made the borders they have to stick to them themselves.

Agree mate. My opinion used to be that this country is going too pc and we should try and get back to how it was before where a little bit of a wind-up was acceptable. But now with the obvious agenda of anything we say = bigotry, but anyone can say what they like about us and it is satire etc, I think the only way we can act now is to ensure they "stick to the borders they've made", as you put it.

And here is the so-called apology. Anyone else sense a wee bit of sarcasm in the article?

You are so right this is another one we should add too the list , One of the first to go to the wall

Nah, I don't actually mind the response. It is a satirical column and the guy has admitted he's made a mistake.

I actually got another email from his editor last night apologising again and saying they won't use the term ever again.

Quit while we're ahead I think.
