The home leg was played during a torrential rain strom, which in truth should have been posponed. We won 1-0 thanks to a brilliant headed goal from Craig Patterson but lost the away leg 2-0. I'm just a mere 25 year old and my first memory of Rangers was in 1987 or 88 against Clydebank at Kilbowie when Walters scored a penalty.
