The individual who attempted to attack Neil Lennon at Tynecastle received an 8-month sentence (it would have been considerably longer had the 'sectarian' angle been upheld) and some Rangers fans have been jailed purely for singing songs. For the avoidance of doubt, this happened in England, Lancashire, I think. He claimed that if gaoled he would lose out on a playing contract with Leicestershire CCC.
