First team squad in the short term

It's not a case of being sorry to see anyone go but that at the moment the squad is "threadbare"and if further decimated before next window it doesn't bear thinking about.

 

The only players that I can imagine leaving, before the transfer window, are ones that we have on loan. So that would be Dalcio, John or Nemane.

 

I don't really see it happening with John. It doesn't matter if it happens with the other two.

The only person i can see leaving from his will and not a new managers is Pena. I don't see Cardoso Candeias or Alves leaving for the manager. I may be wrong.

Alves must have seen this a hundred times. I’m sure he will be comfortable with a new manager coming in.

 

Essentially the squad have a huge amount to prove. I don’t know what the relationships with PC were but I get the impression that some of them do feel as though they have let Pedro down.

 

It takes players a while to settle in Scotland with all the hatchet men gunning for better than average players so the new manager may see a natural bounce that might have been coming Pedro’s way. If they do bounce back, we will never know if it’s the new manager effect or it’s the settling in period.

Halliday was awful at DM, but that wasn't his position. He's a OK player that can do a job in a more advanced position, or covering at LB; he'd certainly run through a brick wall for us.
