Potential Line-ups

Recommended Posts

The good thing is that we'll have more quality options. As for line-ups, it would be cool if we actually change them and the personnell used according to the game at hand. Against the Scum, plus Aberdeen and perhaps Hibs away, we probably have to go "4-2-something" first, whereas I expect us to go with numbers in midfield and up front at home against ... essentially the rest. As in: 3-5-2 ... with the back three possibly Katic, Goldson and McCrorie, who will be quick enough to cover any spaces.

At the end of the day, it will mostly be down to breaking packed defences rather than playing an open game of football (which we probably expect to see in Europe or against those few teams who actually want to play football against us, rather than to play the "dig in and counter" style). We need to see the players coming in and hope that SG will use them to the best of their abilities, rather than sticking to one game plan and a very limited set of players.

Our new coach was one for having a buzz at goal from any distance maybe we will see more players having a go rather than fannying about trying to play the ball into the goal .
