I didn’t get it right either, Compo.

You’ll likely remember a time when this match could have been the old fashioned Division 1 league decider.

You’ll maybe remember too when a burgeoning Liverpool beat Blanchflower’s Tottenham 5-2 on a Friday at Anfield with the scallies singing “London Bridge is falling down” then went down to the Lane on the Monday to get whacked 7-2

Liverpool snatch a 90th minute winner from an OG to go top again though City have a game in hand. Remaining games for Liverpool.

Southampton (away)

Chelsea (home)

Cardiff (away)

Huddersfield (home)

Newcastle (away)

Wolves (home)

Liverpool getting in a habit of last minute winners, there is nothing worse sometimes! But it makes the title race still interesting.

I think they will drop points next up at Southampton, they are playing for safety and will be able to get a point. Luck can only go on so much.

Shame for Cardiff yesterday, robbed at home to Chelsea.

But there is a title race on and with Spurs awful form there is 4 clubs fighting for 2 CL places. Spurs have collapsed, they were miles clear and now will be 4th only on goal difference if Arsenal win tonight.

2-0 to the Arsenal.

Heard commentary on the last twenty minutes of an exciting game with what sounded like 20,000 Geordies making a helluva racket.

Two collector’s items from the commentary: “what a tackle by the Arsenal defender” and “Osil battling hard for the ball”.

Jings,

Arsenal sitting nice in 3rd. 10 points behind Spurs in Feb but 2 ahead now.

Looking at the fixtures though Spurs have a good run in. Arsenal have tough away games - Everton, Watford, Leicester and Wolves. The typical Arsenal of the last few years wouldnt pick up much more than 4 points with those.

Great victory last night for the Wolves.

Tonight:

Chelsea 2-0 Brighton

City 4-0 Cardiff

And the double curse of the new stadium/gala occasion;

Hotspurs (dominating play and raining shots on goal) 0-1 Palace. (89th minute offside breakaway)
