Possible permanent signing of Coulibaly?

Recommended Posts

Perhaps it would be prudent to sign him, if he is willing, of course, in the January window, pre-Brexit, because after that event, we may be thrown back to the days of work permits, limited in number (was it 12 for Scottish football?).  such as prevailed when we attempted, and failed, to obtain the services of Mario Jardel.

I would rather wait to we see him perform for half a season at least. There must be a reason a diddy club like Angers are happy to let him go out on loan, lets make sure we have all the facts and see what level of consistency he brings rather than a good spell of a handful of games.

Nobody can do anything official until 1 Jan at the earliest, so no reason why we cant wait till mid-Dec before deciding if we want to try to tie something up in the winter window.

The early signs are impressive, lets hope this is his natural level and not a flash in the pan.

Did Angers not sign him for £1.8m?

Could well be. Maybe they do business like we did a wee while ago? :D

Honestly, It was just an assumption, given that he did not click with them and they are not a high profile team. For the time being, I hope he keeps up his good form and does well for us.
