I can't understand why people suddenly want WS to drop BF. After PLG left he was arguably our best and most consistent player last season. IMO he has nothing to prove and players such as Thomson and the new signings still have a lot to do before they can even be considered before BF

 

I think its a positional thing with Ferguson.

 

He is not an attacking midfielder but yet when he plays defensive he is dictating his own team mates moves and isnt that effective. Hemdani is much more effective sitting infront of the back 4. I havent seen much of Thomson but a lot are rating him and he could develop into a Stuart McCall type of player for us. Having Hemdani and Thomson can play together but then we need a creative player and Ferguson just isnt that.

The thing is,when managers play players out of position they get criticised,playing Beasley on the right is taking him away from his natural/best position on the left !!!!!!!

I've said this previously, Thompson is more of a Nigal Spackman type player - one who quietly goes about his business, winning the ball and passing it to a team-mate, breaking up play etc.

 

IF and its a HUGE IF we can secure an attacking right hand sided midfield player, then our squad would be complete and help bring the best out of BF. Look at his best seasons, they were whilst playing within a rigid 4-4-2 system under DA or under AMc when we played with RDB off the strickers giving BF opportunities to get forward and score goals.

 

IMO WS tactics are too negative for BF - we will play 4-5-1 for the majority of games this season.
